Government-to-Government Consultation.

On contract to the U.S. Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution, a Congressionally-mandated organization, co-designed and conducted research that resulted in the most comprehensive assessment and recommendations to-date for improving communications, procedures and policies on government-to-government relations between the U.S. Department of the Defense and Interior Alaska Native Tribes. Pribilof Islands Collaborative.

Provided consultation, consensus-building design, meeting facilitation, and documentation for stakeholder interests including Tribes, commercial fishing and processing industry, conservation groups and researchers, that resulted in a structure allowing them to interact collaboratively and address economic and biological threats to the Central Bering Sea ecosystem.

Public Stakeholder Research for Human Health Risk & Risk Management at Federal Facilities and Formerly Used Defense Sites in Alaska.

Conceptualized, managed and co-conducted this research project, funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, to improve interactions between rural Alaska communities and federal agencies on projects to remediate contaminated sites throughout the state. Three publications resulted from this research.

Anchorage on the Move.

Conceptualized, managed and co-conducted this research project, funded by the Federal Highway Administration, and worked collaboratively with the Municipality of Anchorage and the State of Alaska, along with members of the public. The research resulted in the Municipal Assembly adopting new public involvement policies and procedures for transportation planning. Three publications were produced synthesizing the research results.
